UNIVERSAL SANCTUARY w/ Tina Edwards, Charles Vaughan, Giovanna & Samurai Kip
We’re going to run out of superlatives to describe these parties, plus we definitely don’t have the space here to do all of the necessary thanks. Still: Joseph Ellis for the delightful early selections, Samurai Kip for switching gears, Giovanna for doing her thing to perfection and Tina Edwards + Charles Vaughan for embracing the Social Club and taking us to the absolute highest echelons of fun on a dance floor.
To the extended crew who lug equipment, light the candles and just about help keep the bar running because we keep drinking it dry. To the totally supportive SSC staff, the members, the new faces and the entire community for coming together and getting down.

Make Some Space: Liverpool Edition w/ Emma Warren
Journalist, author and Worldwide FM radio DJ Emma Warren joined us for an evening of conversation, music and a workshop that “invites us to remember the venues and community centres that generated culture, and asks us to protect the few that remain.”
Emma’s book, ‘Make Some Space: Tuning Into Total Refreshment Centre’, gives an insider‘s account of the DIY venue TRC as an incubator for the London jazz explosion. More importantly, it shows us why and how we should create and preserve community spaces, hence we couldn’t think of a better guest to help us bring Wavertree Worldwide into the open.
